About

It’s been over 20 years now that I set out on this journey. Now, I am a veteran business owner, mother of 2 teens, a wife, and a grateful friend to many.  My life is full of joy from all the people who contribute to me daily.

After many failed attempts during our businesses, picking ourselves up each time,  learning, and then ultimately having some grand successes, I am choosing to share some of those lessons with you.  Maybe these insights might help you navigate smoother than I did (or at least pretend better) . All in all, it’s been glorious. But most of us know that glory comes with costs...( read more)
along the way. The only way to avoid costs is to not play the game the way I think it was meant to be played…..full out. So “smooth” might be overrated. The question it begs is:  "Can an outstanding life possibly be smooth?”

My Dad, whom I have missed being with as an adult, used to say with the biggest grin, “If you’re gonna play….you have to pay!” I think he meant it in a different context, but we’ll go with it! This site is going to have a lot of different categories.  The journey of business ownership is an amazing one.  Who I was 20 years ago when I set out and who I am now are virtually unrecognizable.  I wouldn't have it any other way.  Some of the changes were initiated by me.  Others, and I must say the largest, most valuable changes were orchestrated by the Lord.  Most of those came through events that I couldn't have dreamt were possible.  I am very clear that each of the things that we have survived and each of the triumphs we have enjoyed- had a purpose.  I have come to love those past circumstances just as someone might recall a long ago friend they haven't seen in a while but remains endearing to you for their antics and mischief.  It's really never clear when you are going through it.  Only later do we see the beauty.

We are better than we think.  We are more than capable.  The posts you see here will hopefully empower you to do the things you have always said you would.  Others have done it, so why not you?

Ann
